KGB Archiver is an application created to allow you to compress and decompress files.
KGB Archiver is the compression tool with unbelievable high compression rate. It surpasses even such efficient compression tool like 7zip and UHARC in terms of the abilities. Unfortunately although its powerful compression rate, it has high hardware requirements (recommend processor with 1,5 GHz clock and 256 MB of RAM as an essential minimum).
One of the advantages of KGB Archiver is also AES-256 encryption which is used to encrypt the archives. This is one of the strongest encryptions known for human.

Changes in KGB Archiver 2.0 Beta 2:
Notes: This is unstable BETA version of KGB Archiver 2. DO NOT use this program for compression of important data until there will be stable version available. THERE ARE KNOWN ISSUES! Note that:
- self-extracting archives of beta 2 don't ask for file overwrite! They always overwrite files.
- KGB Archiver v1.x encrypted archives (*.kge) ARE NOT supported by beta 1, please use v1.x or wait for final release
- for Windows Vista users: Please disable User Account Control (UAC) before installing KGB Archiver 2 beta 2.
crashes:
[*] - fixed out of range exception when open KGB v1 archives
[*] - properties dialog: now shows right date & time for KGB archives, doesn't crash on directories in KGB archive, doesn't crash on ZIP archives
[*] - fixed: crash when command line to kgb2compressor is greather than 2003 characters (.NET limitation)
[*] - fixed: crash when creating ZIP archive and access is denied to file

speed optimizations:
[*] - about 50% faster creation of folder tree
